eBay SEA approached us to create the event design for their annual Seller Summit at the Suntec Singaporeconference center.
We worked with the client to develop a concept that was both globally brand-consistent and locally relevant to the Southeast Asia seller reality. To the proposed event name, Huat ― meaning “prosperity” in Chinese and a typical greeting during the Chinese New Year ― we added the graphic concept and color palette. Red was the natural choice for its association with prosperity and money. In terms of imagery, we wanted to show that eBay, and eBay Sellers, are real people ― local people ― put the focus on them, as individuals, and their success.
We developed the concept across all the event’s physical assets, including the registration backdrop, stage backdrop, roll-ups, stickers and, most prominently, for video: Suntec Singapore boasts the world’s largest high-definition video wall. We also created the Wish Panel to engage participants in sticking their wishes for 2018.
